Reaching out into our communities is vital to our organization,
developing relationships with community leaders, media, school faculty
and local civic groups can greatly assist each post in achieving the VFW
mission.
To that end, the post joined the Tri-Cities Military Alliance Council (TC-MAC) where multiple local organizations partner to serve veterans. The application, dues, and first attendance was held on 28 OCT 2025.
Each year in May, the Post performs a Day of Service. We collaborated with several veteran-focused non-profits in the area to deliver a Mobile Soup Kitchen on 23 MAY 2025.
Continuing beyond the annual Day of Service, the post finds additional opportunities to serve our community. Another outreach to the community was on 21 NOV 2025, this time in Sullivan County. We returned to the same venue, The Table of Kingsport, twice again, in APR and MAY 2026, as our 2026 Day of Service. Our VFW volunteers served as companions at the tables where the community was served a Monday meal in APR and a pancake breakfast on 09 MAY 2026. The MAY event was a fundraiser for the ministry, each ticket feeding the purchaser and two others from the community.
